Our mission at Bancroft State Bank is to meet the desires of our customers. As financial service professionals entrusted with sensitive financial information, we respect the privacy of our customers and are committed to treating customer information responsibly. Bancroft State Bank employees shall strictly follow the privacy guidelines below and share them with customers as appropriate.
We will first define some terms.
We, our and us means Bancroft State Bank.
You, and your means the type of customers who have a continuing relationship with us, such as: deposit account, loan account, safe deposit box, home mortgage, and individual retirement account where we act as custodian.
Nonpublic personal information means information about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records.
An affiliate is a company we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, and a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls us. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control.
A nonaffiliated third party is a company that is not an affiliate of ours.
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect, retain and use information about you only where we reasonable believe that it will help administer our business or provide products, services, and other opportunities to you. We collect nonpublic information about you from:
information we receive from you on applications or other forms,
information about your transactions with us or others and
information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.
We will tell you why we are collecting and retaining this information upon your request.
THE CONFIDENTIALITY, SECURITY, AND INTEGRITY OF YOUR NONPUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION
Bancroft State Bank has established procedures so that we maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. Should you ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about you, please notify us. We will investigate our concerns and correct any inaccuracies. Employee access to personally identifiable customer information is limited to those with a business reason to know such information. Our employees are educated on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and on these privacy guidelines. Because these issue are important to us, employees who violate these privacy guild lines will be subject to disciplinary measures.
Bancroft State Bank is committed to the security of your financial and personal information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects your account information from being accessed by third parties. We maintain and grant access to customer information only in accordance with our internal security standards. We shred all personally identifiable documentation. Bancroft State Bank will not solicit personal information by mail or by email.
NONPUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION AND NONAFFILIATED THIRD PARTIES
It is Bancroft State Bank's policy not to reveal specific information about your accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use unless:
it is legally required or permitted in connection with fraud investigations and litigation;
it is in the normal course of our business to help complete a transaction initiated by you (for example, with consumer reporting agencies and government agencies);
it is at your request with your permission. (for example, with check card or credit card processing, life/disability insurance, check processing and printing, and mortgage loan processing.
Bancroft State Bank insists that the third party also adhere to similar privacy principals that provide for continuing customer confidentiality. We do not sell your name or address to third parties for their independent use.

We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about former customers.
